The G20 will meet in Scotland from 6th to 8th November (the week before the NATO defence ministers). At the meeting last month initiated by Stop the War it was agreed to meet again in Edinburgh on 14th July to discuss possible actions. The meeting will be at 7.30pm at the Augustine Church on George 4th Bridge. We hope that a broad range of individuals and organisations who are interested in taking action in November will be able to attend. Please pass this message on to anyone you know who might be interested.

Start: 19:30

Location: Friends Meeting House, Victoria Terrace

Theresa McDermott from Edinburgh was one of the 21 members of the crew of the Free Gaza Movement’s small boat, Spirit of Humanity, who were abducted to Israel when the vessel was hijacked in international waters by the Israeli Navy on 30 June. The same navy routinely attacks and fires on Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of Gaza.

Theresa will give a report back, answer questions, and take part in planning for expanded Scottish involvement in future attempts to break the siege of Gaza.
