Five SPSC members face absurd charges of
'racially aggravated conduct' for protesting the Gaza massacres during a
performance at the 2008 Edinburgh International Festival by the Jerusalem
Quartet, official cultural
ambasssadors of apartheid Israel and 'distinguished IDF musicians' whom
an admiring interviewer said were of the view that 'a rifle in one hand and a violin in the other is
the ultimate Zionist statement'.The defendents will present the facts of Israeli occupation,
apartheid, programme of ethnic cleansing and British government
complicity to explain the moral imperative of what we did, will do again and
urge others to do as well. Apartheid has been defined by the
International Criminal Court as 'crime against
humanity'.
