The Edinburgh Stop the War Coalition unites a wide variety of individuals, members and affiliated groups including campaigns, political parties, NGOs and churches. We came together in the aftermath of the terrible events of 11 September. We condemn these crimes, but believe that the military onslaught against Afghanistan has only added more innocent lives to those lost in America. We oppose the bombing campaign against Afghanistan and any future invasion of that nation or the others being targeted by the US.
The Acronym Institute for Disarmament Diplomacy has been working since 1995 to promote effective approaches to international security, disarmament and arms control. Engaging with governments and civil society, Acronym provides reporting, analysis and strategic thinking on a range of issues relevant to peace and security, with special emphasis on treaties and multilateral initiatives.
The Other Israel, newsletter published approximately quarterly, aims to provide extensive coverage of the diverse struggles waged by the Israeli peace movement at large. It reports on a great variety of activities, most of which find little or no mention in the world media. It also contains commentaries on events in Israel and the Middle East from a perspective in which the interests of Israelis and Palestinians are ultimately reconcilable.
